Cavenago di Brianza Italy

Cavenago di Brianza is part of the province of Milan and lies between the Torrent Molgora and the Vallone River, northeast of the capital. It has around 6.3 thousand of habitants and is located within the Protected Area of Le Foppe, part of the Rio Vallone Park. The origins date back to the late ninth century and the name could be related to the abundance of game in the area or the numerous vineyards in the countryside. Interesting places to visit in Cavenago Brianza are the Palazzo Rasini, built between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, preserving important stuccoes by Andrea Appiani; and the church of Santa Maria in Campo, decorated in its interior by an important cycle of Bernardino Luini frescoes.
